Hair forecast : Silver with a chance of brassiness? NOT HERE!
When it comes to our hair, summer is a time for an effortless routine, less heated styling and more of a natural look. I’m definitely a fan of that. However, you may have heard that the hair forecast is sunny with a chance of brassiness. Not over here! At White Hot, we know that silver hair can look a little yellow after being in the sun and that’s why we suggest incorporating a summer-long mix and match regime to keep that brassiness well and truly at bay.
Firstly, Brilliant Shampoo. While you may be tempted to use our soft violet formula every time you wash to ward off yellowy tones, we think the best thing you can do is use either Glorious Shampoo or Gloss Bar as your regular shampoo and then swap Brilliant Shampoo in once a week, depending on how often you wash your hair. Or, if you wash your hair only a couple of times a week, I would suggest using either Glorious or Gloss Bar as a first cleanse, then Brilliant Shampoo as a second cleanse, for both times. Maintenance is key.
Hydration is also uber important. Follow your shampoo step with Luminous Conditioner and once a week, I would suggest having a soak with our Intense Lustre Mask. Deep hydration AND a super-charged brightening boost too. You can maintain hydration on the go too.
If you’re planning a day at the beach, or even (shall I say it....) going *abroad*, Lifeshine Oil is the perfect beach bag size and also great for longer distance travel. As I mentioned earlier, less heat styling is one of the best things you can do for your grey, especially in the summer. If you’re not too fond of letting your hair go with the flow just yet, playing around with accessories post air-dry is a great way to slowly wean yourself into natural life.
