This year, be more you than ever

At the start of a new year, we’re bombarded with messages to change. To improve. To better yourself. That’s all well and good if that kind of motivation is what you’re looking for, but this year our message is to be more YOU than ever.

Rather than trying to look outward, or search for something new, we urge you to come back in. Come back to what makes you feel happiest and most you. Is that continuing on your journey to grey? Is that carrying on celebrating the silver life? Is that trying a new hobby? Deciding that there is no such thing as ‘too old’?

At White Hot, we know that in order to feel your best on the outside, it’s less about a wonderful range of *7* fantastic products that make your hair gleam with shine (although it helps), but more about changing the inner story.

Champion yourself for who you are, the things that make you special without wishing for something different.

A piece of advice my hairdresser gave me right at the beginning of my dye-ditching journey and one I continue to share all the time is to change what’s in your head, before you change what’s on your head.

You will never love what you see when you look in the mirror if you’re constantly telling yourself you’ve given up, let yourself go, or grey makes you look ancient and washed out.

Also, rather than perhaps wishing your hair would grow or thicken up or curl or straighten, just accept and celebrate you as you are.

If you want to make changes, come at them from a place of support and encouragement, rather than criticism. It’s easier said than done… but this January, it’s where we’re going to start.
