White Hot is a collection of six hair products especially for grey and white hair. Our shampoos, conditioners and styling products brighten, cleanse, condition and add shine and definition.

This privacy policy sets out how White Hot uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website. White Hot is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

White Hot may change this policy occasionally by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy was most recently updated and made effective from 01/03/2018.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

When you make an order we ask for your name, home address, delivery address, email address, and payment details when you make a purchase on our site. We may also obtain information about your usage of our website to help us develop and improve your shopping experience further, through online surveys and other requests.

If we make an order over the telephone, this conversation will not be recorded. If we take your credit card details, we will only input them directly into the web form and not record these in any written format. None of your financial data will be saved in any way.

Google Analytics Display Advertising features have been implemented on our website for the purpose of Demographics and Interest Reporting. This means that information such as your age, gender, location and interests can be recorded upon visiting the White Hot website.

This website also uses Matomoto to analyse traffic and help us improve your user experience. Using Matomo we collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browser and operating system used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.). This data is anonymised and cookies are stored on your browser for 13 months. 

White Hot partakes in advertising using Google AdWords and you may have been directed to our site by Google. If you’d like more information about the Google AdWords policy then please get in touch, or alternatively, information is available online.

We use a customer feedback partner, to help provide the best customer service possible. Feefo Holdings Ltd is a data processor and is listed with the Information Commissioner’s Office on the Data Protection Public Register with the registration number Z2323576. When you make an order from White Hot, your name and email address will be passed to Feefo, who will then contact you separately to ask if you will give your opinion of the service and the products you received. This is done by an independent company so that you, and other customers, know that the feedback you read about White Hot is verified. Feefo will never use your information for any other purpose or share your information with any third-party and you can unsubscribe from the service at any time via the opt-out link on their email. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). This is also in accordance with the Privacy & Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service. Feefo will send you a customer service email as a follow-up to your purchase and we will not send you marketing emails unless we have your consent. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing emails from us in the future. The type of information we will collect about you includes any information you provide us via the forms you fill in on the site. Examples of this would be:

  • email address
  • credit/debit card details (this information is not stored anywhere by White Hot, but is passed to our credit card processor)

  • competition entries

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using secure sockets layer (SSL) technology.

WHAT THE DATA WILL BE USED FOR

Your data will enable us to fulfil your order and notify you of any important functionality changes. If you have chosen to opt-in to receive our email newsletter, we may get in touch from time to time (by email), to give you information about White Hot products and special offers we don’t think you’ll want to miss. We may also use our emails to ask you to participate in surveys which would help us get to know you better so that we can continue to develop our brand with your needs in mind, but this will always be optional. We use a third party supplier, MailChimp as our email partner and therefore this is where your email address is stored if you have signed up to our database. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE SHARE WITH OTHERS?

Personal data collected via Google Reporting will not be shared with any other third-party vendors, and we will not pass your information onto any other company or third-party for marketing purposes.

You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you and uses Google Analytics reporting using the Google Ad Preferences page, and if you want to, you can opt out of interest-based advertising entirely by cookie settings or permanently using a browser plugin.

We use third party suppliers, as detailed earlier: Feefo - as our customer service review partner, MailChimp as our email marketing supplier and Lemonpath as our fulfilment house. They have access to information that helps them perform their functions, but they may not use that data in any other way.
