Simple Pleasures
If you’re anything like me, you’re really embracing life’s simple pleasures at the moment. The sound of the birds in the trees (and no traffic). The first sip of a morning coffee… perhaps sitting in the sunshine. A great book that takes me somewhere when I’m not going far (at the moment, The Nix by Nathan Hill). Walking my dog, planning something for dinner. At the same time, some things that felt completely essential, perhaps don’t so much anymore. What have you let go during this time? What are the joys you have a newly found appreciation for? My hair’s a little longer than I like at the moment and I’ve rediscovered my old velcro rollers to add a bit of shape after a wash. Then, I find that scrunching a bit of ‘Shoosh’ into my hair first thing helps me to feel a little less ‘just rolled out of bed’ and a little more ‘messy oomph’ (there is most definitely a difference). I find that the simple pleasure of washing my hair in the morning makes me feel more me, even if I’m not leaving the house. So, let us know what you’re letting go and what’s giving you joy. We love hearing your stories, giving advice where we can and of course, providing you with ways to feel a little more yourself, even if it’s just your hair. Take care,
