Summer's secret weapon....
There’s a running joke that all we talk about in the UK is the weather. (Ever so slightly guilty….) The sun poked out over the weekend, but now it seems to be teasing us and has retreated. It’ll be back. The sun (or lack of) is not all we talk about at White Hot, but we do know that the weather not only affects our mood, but our grey. Although we’ve had a slightly gloomier summer weather wise in the UK so far, even on cloudy days the muggier air can dry out our hair.
I wanted to give you a (grey) heads up about my secret weapon for silky smooth, shiny silver and it’s small enough to pop in your handbag. Let me introduce you to Lifeshine Oil. As my hair is a little longer post lockdown, I’ve taken to keeping it on my dressing table to run a drop through my hair as I start to do my makeup. Many of you will be familiar with it, but you might not have unlocked its full potential just yet.
A multi-purpose, light-weight oil, for use on wet or dry hair, with extracts from the Baobab Tree, it will nourish, de-frizz, de-tangle and moisturise both long and short styles. It not only smells divine, with the signature White Hot fragrance, but leaves your silver looking glossier in an instant...plus you only need a couple of drops.
So, how do you use it? There are many options. I thought I’d share a few….
Keep it simple
Wash your hair with Glorious or Brilliant Shampoo, condition with Luminous Conditioner and apply a few drops of Lifeshine Oil onto damp hair, from mid to ends. Leave your hair to dry naturally and embrace the glow…. For particularly dry, damaged or frizzy silver, I would suggest smoothing Lifeshine into your hands, before scrunching the product into the ends of your hair.
Flyaways drive you mad?
If up-dos are more your thing, or you love a sleek ponytail or bun, simply smooth a couple of drops through your hair, taming any frizz or stray strands. No need for extra hairspray either.
In need of a revival?
If you’re in between washes and your hair’s looking a little wild, or want to tidy up your hair after a long day, apply a couple of drops to dry hair for a radiant shine injection.
